What's the market paying? PCR Newsletter Spring 2010
Breaking news!!!!
1st March 2010 - PCR opens it's new flagship head office in London!!
There is so much happening at PCR at the moment that we decided that the PCR News section deserved to come first in the latest newsletter. Anyway, with no snow at the winter Olympics, the economy still bumping along the bottom, and the British Spring not quite managing to break out from the grotty winter just yet, we thought we should be shouting out our good news!!
News from PCR - and it really is all NEW news this edition!!
Our new flagship Head Office opens at 35 Heddon Street in London on 1st March.
Following the success during 2009 of our newly established office and team at Shaftesbury Avenue, we're moving, upgrading, and up-sizing to a lovely new, purpose-fitted, office suite at 35 Heddon Street, just off Regent Street. It's completely a co-incidence that it's right by the Absolut Ice-Bar, although of course such a landmark does make giving directions easier! The new premises mean we can continue to expand the team aggressively and of course with the majority of our client base in and around town, our consultants in Cambridge will have much improved hot-desk facilities for both client and candidate visits. We plan to hold a number of welcome events over the course of the Spring and Summer, so look out for your invite!
We've now introduced a creative division to our Digital Media team.
Although we've always been able to assist on the more technical end of design roles, with the addition of Maria Spitaliotis to the team in September 2009 we're now able to help on all things content and editorial. Maria originally studied entertainment production, before stepping into New Media recruitment and for the last 3 years has focused on the Online Creative sector for Entertainment, Lifestyle and Ecommerce market.
We're investing in a completely new sales and recruitment database, going live by Q2.
As if moving offices and growing the team wasn't enough, after a review of best of breed recruitment systems we decided at the end of 2009 to move to a completely new CRM system. Not for the faint-hearted after 12 years with our existing system, but the benefits we can see for ourselves, clients, and candidates, to better manage our relationships and keep on improving our services were the deciding factor. We're deep in data cleansing, mapping and data flow design at the moment, and what a joy it is, but it will be worth it!!
PCR are now on Twitter and Facebook.
We've just this month established a presence on Twitter and are currently revamping our Facebook pages so they are informative and a forum for discussion with all of our industry contacts. As well as keeping you up to date on the jobs and opportunities front, we're also aiming to use social media as a sounding board for opinions on what's happening in the industry, keeping ourselves and our contacts up to date, and hopefully provoking some lively opinions and discussions. Click on the button on our web-site to follow us on Twitter, and if you're an experienced tweeter, please bear with us while we get up to speed! We've had a couple of excellent training sessions from Spice.co.uk*, but we are still fledgings for now!
